Professional Sizing & Mounting Tips from J-Chandelier

At J-Chandelier, we believe that lighting is more than illumination — it's an integral part of architectural storytelling. Whether you're an interior designer, builder, developer, or homeowner, choosing the right chandelier size ensures visual harmony, proper functionality, and a luxurious spatial experience.

This guide offers practical formulas, expert installation tips, and room-by-room suggestions to help you select the ideal light fixture for every space.

🔧 How to Calculate the Ideal Chandelier Size

✅ Formula for Diameter

Room Length (ft) + Room Width (ft) = Recommended Diameter (inches)

Example:
For a 14’ x 12’ room → 14 + 12 = 26 → Ideal fixture diameter ≈ 26 inches

✅ Recommended Fixture Height

Ceiling Height (ft) × 2.5 to 3 = Fixture Height (inches)

Example:
A 10-ft ceiling → 10 × 2.5–3 = 25–30 inches fixture height

📏Installation Height Guidelines (Per Space)

💼 Pro Tips for Designers & Builders

• Use layered lighting: combine ambient (main light), task (spot lighting), and accent (decorative) layers for depth and usability.
• All J-Chandelier fixtures are adjustable and customizable — ask us about rod extensions and sizing options for unique spaces.
• We support project-based B2B partnerships with access to spec sheets, CAD files, and finish samples.
